PETROLEUM PROSPECTINGS IN THE AREAS OF THE EAST CHINA DURING THE TIME OF 1990s
Chen Husheng
1992, 14(1): 1-6. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201001
Abstract:
Nowadays,it becomes more and more difficult to explore for oil and gas. In order to discover new oil/gas fields, the relative theories of petroleum generation and principal concepts for oil/gas cxloration must be used,of which the author concluded in six aspects of topics. Combined these topics with the past practices and the characteristics in the areas of the East China, the new considerations in three aspects with seven new realms of oil/gas exploration in the areas have been proposed in this paper. The new conciderations in three aspects arc as follows; Ⅰ.The hydrocardons generated from multiple sources during polystages and oil/gas pools formed in various geological stages, and the later geological stage it is,the more favourable for the formation of oil/gas pools it will be. Ⅱ. The hydrocarbons generated and oil/gas pools formed in early geological stage or through the polystagcs, and the hydrocarbons have been scaled or absorbed by the formations after the diagen csis took place. Those oil/gas pools are favourable for petroleum development if the geological reworks have occurred. Ⅲ. New discoveries of oil/gas fields can be made in the highly explored areas by applying new petroleum theories, concepts and techniques. The seven new realms for oil/gas prospcctings are as: 1. The hydrocarbons derived from the Mcsozoic and Paleozoic marine sedimentary sequences; 2. shallow buried natural gas(including the Quaternary biogas) ;3. the middle and small sized basins in the areas of the East China; 4. the areas covered by volcanic rocks in the southeast provinces of China;5. the gas derived from coal measures;6. oil-bearing beds of tight sandstones of the Longtan Formation;7. the Meso-Cenozoic non-marine basins in the northern Jiangsu.
TECTONIC CHARACTERISTICS IN THE AREA OF THE EAST CHINA SEA
Yang Zhaoyu
1992, 14(1): 7-19. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201007
Abstract:
The East China Sea is located at the conjunct region between the continental and oceanic plates, and the tectonic movements in the sea area controlled by the activities of these two plates. The sea floor attributed to continental crust can be divided into four structural levels at the lower crust above the granite layer, and have experienced three geological stages as: the transform margin during the Mcsozoic time, the passive margin of Paleocene-Miocene, and the active margin in the late Eocene-Quaternary. The tectonic movements of different natures in each stage resulted in tectonic frameworks in which the alternative compressional and extensional tectonic regines would be developed. The stress fields in the area would vary with their different positions in the sea area. From east toword west and the old to young, compressional and extensional stressfields alternated or overlapped one to another, constituting the complex tectonism of the area.

Xia Bangdong, Lu Honglei, Wu Yungao, Yang Huimin
1992, 14(1): 20-30. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201020
Abstract:
The Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi Rift System is located on the western margin of the Yangtze Plate and its rifting activities initiated at the time of Devonian and ended at the Triassic Period. In the rift system, the sedimentary volcanic rocks over 10000 m have been developed with bimodal rift volcanic rocks, sedimentary sequences of rift type, carbonate sedimentary rocks characterized by platform sedimentation, and pelitic and siliceous sediments characterized by sedimentary differentiation of trough-basin. During the early and middle stages of the rift evolution, the clastic sediments were derived from the east and west sides of the rift shoulders and were migrated southward after they accumulated at the rift axis while the clastic sediments were sourced from its southern and southeastern areas and migrated towards north and northwest during the late stage of the rift evolution. Therefore, this rift opens towards south and can be named as a rifted-trough.

1992, 14(1): 31-39. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201031
Abstract:
Based on the properties of the porosity, clay mineral and the pore fluid pressure of the mud-stones, the durations for the mudstone compactions of the Meso-Cenozoic of Shanshui petroliferous Basin, and the Miyang and the Huanghua depressions can be divided into four stages respectively. In this paper,it summarizes the differences and similarities,as well as the genesis among the basin and the depressions on the basis mentioned above.
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SHAYA-LUNTAI FAULTING SYSTEM AND OIL/GAS OCCURRENCE
He Haiquan, Kang Zhihong
1992, 14(1): 40-45. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201040
Abstract:
The paper suggests that the Shaya-Luntai Faulting System can be distinctly divided into the east, west and middle sections respectively based on its morphometry and evolutional histories. Be cause of the long duration of faulting activities, and different intensities and properties for each section during various stages, the faulting system wonld be favourable for the controlling over oil and gas occurrence with differdnt levels The Yakcla oil/gas field and the Luntai oil/gas pool controlled by the middle and the east sections, respectively, are two typical examples.
ON THE CALEDONIAN EROSION SURFACE AND THE ACCUMULATION OF OIL/GAS IN THE AREAS OF THE NORTH CHINA
Chen Guanghan
1992, 14(1): 46-51. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201046
Abstract:
The author describes the characteristics of the Caledonian erosional surface in the North China, i. e the top surface of the Ordovician marine carbonate system (Tg reflection wave group), and its controlling over the formation of the oil/gas pools in the marine carbonate sequences. The sedimentation hiatus for such an erosional surface lasted as long as 130Ma with the ommission of the Silurian,Devonian and the lower Carboniferous systems. The stratigraphic contact along the surface is an unconformity. Since the prolonged erosions with weathering, leaching, dissolution and denudation, the dissoluted pores, caves and fissures have been well developed in the Ordovician carbonate sequences, thus they can be excellent reservoir rocks for oil/gas accumulations. However, the Tertiary sequences are of most significant source rocks for large oil/gas pools in the Paleozoic carbonate reservoir, except for the source rocks of the carbonate rocks themselves. Through the faults and the uncomfornities, the generated hydrocarbons would accumulate and migrate into the traps located above or beneath the Caledonian erosional surface and prolific oil/gas pools would be developed.

ON THE CATALYSIS OF CLAY MINERALS IN THE PROCESS OF OIL AND GAS GENERATION
Li Zhong
1992, 14(1): 59-63. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201059
Abstract:
Clay minerals in matrix play a significant role in the processes of the deposition of organic matter, diagenesis, the generation and evolution of oil and gas. Focusing on the foundmental topics con cerning clay organic complex and catalytic activities, the author studied the function of clay minerals in the process of oil-gas generation and following secondary reworks. The results show that the catalysis of clay minerals should be regarded as a critical controlling factor over time and temperature dur ing the pyrolysis of organisms.
A DISCUSSIONi ON THE AGE OF THE SHIPU GROUP ADJACENT TO THE SHIPU YOWN, XIANGSHAN COUNTY, ZHEJIANG PROVINCE
Xu Beimei
1992, 14(1): 64-67. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201064
Abstract:
For a long time, there is a controversy about the age and sedimentary facies for the Shipu Group. During last two years of studies on the Formationsof the Group, the author has discovered various kinds of fossils from the limestones at the upper part of the group. Through the analysis on isotopicage date of 9 samples, it is suggested that the group is attributed to the lower Cretaceous with a transitional facies between marine-non marine.
TYPE AND RESERVOIR PROPERTY OF THE LOWER PROTEROZOIC DOLOSTONES IN THE NORTH CHINA
Xu Hui
1992, 14(1): 68-77. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201068
Abstract:
Four genetic types of diagenesis are defined for the dolostones as:syngenetic,para-syngenetic di-agenetic and epigenetic dolostones, which are mainly attributed to the Ordovician systems partly to the upper and lower Cambrian systems. Syngenetic dolostones formed in an environment of under water evaporation can be cover rocks while those in a diagenetic environment of overwater evaporation, and diagenetic dolostonss in a snallow buried diagenetic environment are of fairly good reservoir rocks. But the secondary lenticular dolostones occurred beneath the unconfority of the Huaiyuan Period are poor reservoir rocks.

A NEW GEOTHERMOMETER-THE RATIO OF 1550cm-1/1600cm-1 IR ON KEROGENS AND ITS APPLICATION
Lin Zongnan
1992, 14(1): 83-95. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201083
Abstract:
Based on the experiments of natural kerogen pyrolysis and pyrolytic simulations,it is proposed that the ratio of 1550cm-1/1600cm-1 1R measured on Kerogens can be taken as a geothermometer. In kinetic analysis, it is suggested that the variation of the ratio is mainly dominated by geotemperature. Therefore, this geothemometer is well enough to reveal the influence of geotemperature above 100℃, especially the hydrothermal influence.

Fang Wei
1992, 14(1): 96-101. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201096
Abstract:
Through making technical improvements on the photograph taken with cathodeluminescence and measuring procedures, the author accomplishedthe observation and photograph with polarization and cathodeluminecence while the rapid quantitative analysis of isotopic chemical composition have been made by an electron probing analyzee on the secondary enlarged fringes of quartz. Results show that Al2O3 content would obviously vary with secondary enlarged fringes of quartz developed at different stages of diagenesis. With the basis mentioned above, the secondary enlargement of quartz is quantitatively defined by corresponding grades. Finally, the formative conditions of the secondary enlarged fringes of quartz are studied in details.

FU Junhui, Xue Xiangxu, Yuan Fengdian, Zhang Yunxiang, Cui Zhilin, Meng Jiancha
1992, 14(1): 102-107. doi: 10.11781/sysydz199201102
Abstract:
For the firsttime, the paper describes the asssemblage and the features of the early Cretaceous sporo-pollens discovred in the Baiwan Formation,Henan Province. According to their vertical distributions of genera and families, the sporo-pollenassemblage in the Baiwan Formation can be divided in to two sub-assemblages from bottom to top. The lower one ischaracterized by classapollis-Schizacois parties while the upper one by Classsopollis-Schizaneoisporites-Jugella-Cicatricasisporites.Based on the assemblage features of the sporo-pollen,the age of the Baiwan Formation is ascertained as the Early Cretaceous, therefore, the lower sub-assemblage represents Berriasian-Valanginian,and the upper one represents Hauterivian-Barremian, respectively.
